Must Haves For This Summer

A pair of sunglasses with personality...
Rings you fall in love with every time you catch a glimpse of them on your finger..
A colourful scarf...
Solid coloured shoes...
A bag to dump all you things in...
A high wasted maxi long skirt...
A belt with attitude you can wear with many outfits...
A pair of boots..
or two, for when the weather plays tricks on you...

A dress you can wear during the day and dress up at night...
and Babes!
A very big thanks goes to all the staff at Wasteland Vintage Los Angeles, especially to Brian Vidal, Bryce Alber and Matt Quarustromat for all their help on the day and for making me feel at home in their store.

For The Love of BAGS!

Whenever I pick up a really nice bag, I find myself attracted to the stitching and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it is the idea that these stitches are holding different pieces together to create a bag. In a way, it's like a trusting relationship, these little stitches that you can barely see sometimes, help me know that I can dump as many or as little things in my bag, some of which I might forget about and remember in a moment of despair and the bag will be there for me to dump many more thing in it when needed. But these stitches are also forgiving enough that I can plonk my bag down anywhere ( I mean anywhere)  and it will still be there, in one piece like the day I first saw it and fell in love with it at the shop.

I love these bags that I stumbled across on my visit to Wasteland Vintage Clothing in Los Angeles to pick out a few summer essentials that you will get to see pretty soon here.

Coachella 2011 Day 3

Can easily say, YES, I had a fantastic time and yes I am sad it's over! The highlights are too many to mention, it would seriously take a whole day and more to write them all up... Loved the stylish people looking extra sharp, girls embracing the 70's look with long flowy hair, floppy hats, dresses and maxi skirts. The Strokes, SBTRKT and of course the festival finale, a magnificent performance by the hip-hop superstar Kanye West.

Kanye's set was hands down one of the most powerful hip hop shows I have been to at a music festival. It was filled with immense amounts of emotions from Kanye West as he cries and pours his heart out as the crowds fall silent saying "This is the most important show to me since my mom passed"

In true Kanye style it was a show packed with tears, fireworks, ballerinas, dancers and one incredible red suit to ever be tailored for a man. Not to mention the amazing Celine Spring 11 shirt that he wore to begin his performance which started on a cherry picker over the audience. Although Rihanna was spotted a few times during the weekend and speculations grew between the crowds that she might hop on stage at some point, Kanye completed the show solo, with no encore uttering his last words as he left the stage "This show is dedicated to you, mama"

The crowds went nuts when he played this...
