Whenever I see any Tatty Devine design, I immediately get into a very playful mood where I want to touch, feel and try on every piece. These are my favourite pieces that I fell in love when I visited their Covent Garden store and the best thing is that all Tatty Devine pieces are hand made in the UK. Their Summer/Spring 2011 collection "Astral Haze" is full of light and colour that transports you to ancient Egypt where you are filled with shimmer, glitter and overflowing luxury.

My passion for design and everything nice continues with me stumbling across LifestyleBazaar which is located under Kingsland Rd Bridge, one of East London's forgotten historical beauties. I love the idea of surrounding yourself with affordable art which has changed considerably from it being as just mounted pieces of art on walls to a great shift towards art being translated onto a wide range of mediums that you can use in your daily life. LifestyleBazaar surely holds onto its reputation for being one store that sorts out innovative, affordable and collectable designs. 

Amore Vincit Omnia - Love Conquers All- represents the most powerful symbol of our love and affection; the mysterious repository of our most intimate secrets, desires and thoughts. A covetable token for someone you really like. Each heart is crafted by hand in Stoke on Trent by The New English from the Finest English Bone China and is supplied with its own unique presentation 'table'. Let us be honest with each other, who wouldn't like to be presented with a heart that is hand brushed with 22 Kt Gold? It is the ultimate romantic gift any lover can hand to their one and only. 

 

This moustache cushion cover designed by Anne Hubert for La Cerise sur le Gateau, a new exciting French brand is made with 100%  cotton with black and red embroidery. I adore the red embroidered text under each moustache and it makes me want to pick each of these moustaches individually, prop them right on top of my upper lip and utter words such as 'Lord Stilton' in a French accent. 

These cushion covers are made from carefully selected fabrics from all around the world by 27 Palms.

Inkhead is designed by Florian Hutter for The New English  and is inspired by the Mexican 'Day of Death' or 'Dia De La Muerte', definitely one of my favourite pieces in the store. It is colourful, vibrant, very detailed and will make you appreciate art every time you pick one of those pieces up. For centuries, the tattoo has served to shock, inspire and feed our imagination in equal measure. It is an artform which has crossed every boundary of culture, sex, gender and geography and is today less marginalised then ever before. Inkhead reflects society's changing relationship with tattoos, encapsulating its detail and symbolism. This set is guaranteed to be one great conversation starter for any occasion.

Caravan... A little spot of heaven!

I just want to say that I fall in love over and over again whenever I turn the corner and know that I am on Red Church Street. Not for the galleries, bars or pubs that people flock to but for this one little spot of heaven called Caravan. Every time I walk past this store my heart literally skips a beat and I find it hard to resist not to look at the wonderful window displays that hypnotically take me inside to see what is on offer.

There is pretty much everything you need to make your home like a little paradise. The one thing that Caravan makes you realise, is as humans, we cannot live without beauty and if there is one shop that makes you feel like you want to stay there, touch, look and marvel at each piece, then this shop is the ultimate beauty we are searching for. Not to mention the wonderful ever so friendly cat called Bagpuss that is always there for a friendly hello and a pat.
